My name is Jenna Wood, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. My journey to become a Registered Psychotherapist stems from my own challenges with mental health. I have experienced first-hand what it is like to be a client and recognize that a supportive therapeutic relationship can truly be the catalyst towards healing. With this, I am committed to building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship with you.
I primarily utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support adults and youth who are experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, body image, self-worth, stress, burnout, life balance, perfectionism, and relationship difficulties. In addition, with training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International, I support individuals and couples navigating pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood. My goal is to cultivate a safe and accepting space where you can share your difficult experiences, painful emotions and explore your inner world. I use a collaborative and client-centered approach that encourages you to strengthen your relationship with self and others while supporting you to feel empowered to access your inner wisdom to navigate life challenges.
When not in session, you'll find Jenna with her fiancé and their dog. Together they enjoy hiking, watching movies, playing board games, and spending time with friends. Jenna also enjoys reading, listening to music, exercising, and spending quality time with her family.
